City of Koszalin - As part of this undertaking, 7 environment friendly city transport buses that comply with the EURO VI Standard were purchased to provide transport services in the City of Koszalin and in the neighbouring communes, i.e. the Commune of Manowo, the Commune of Mielno, the Commune of Będzino and the Commune of Świeszyno.
Air conditioned interior, facilities for disabled persons guarantee to passengers comfortable and safe journey.
Furthermore, the new rolling stock complies with very restrictive environmental protection requirements related to the limitation of exhaust emissions: Euro 6. Owing to the purchase of the new buses, 7 buses were phased out by the Municipal Transport Company that were not environment friendly, with the average age of over 21 years.
This project constitutes a part of comprehensive activities aimed at a reduction of greenhouse gases and taking road traffic out of the city with the resulting improved air quality in the city as well as an increased traffic safety and improved traffic. The implementation of sustainable urban mobility will increase the numbers of those people who resign from individual car transport to use public and bicycle transport.
